In February 2024 we helped the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) plant new shelterbelts on this site, using equal numbers of 12 species of native trees.
FWAG like to use a continuous membrane to suppress weeds rather than mulch mats or wood chippings. It is quick and easy to lay, and is very effective. The trees were planted by Phil with local volunteers found by FWAG and ourselves. As always, they were brilliant and worked really hard.
