January and the dawn of a new year are always associated with positivity - learning new skills and shedding unwanted weight or habits. What about you? If you have a milestone this year that you want to celebrate uniquely, consider fundraising for Protect Earth to develop greater biodiversity in the UK.
Let’s quickly look at the range of activities our community has undertaken to fundraise for us and what well-known fundraising platforms Protect Earth has partnered with, making fundraising easier. If you’re running a marathon or some such epic challenge, there is no platform we can partner with to make that challenge easier. But we appreciate your spirit!
Activities undertaken to fundraise for Protect Earth
The Protect Earth community is an active group of many people across genders, ages, and ethnicities. We have formed a community over our shared environmental values and concern for diversity in nature. With so much diversity in our community, it’s no surprise that people have used different motivations to fundraise for Protect Earth.
We’ve had a young community member choose their 28th birthday as a reason to raise money for Protect Earth. Instead of gifts, she asked those close to her to donate something she believes in, and the greater activity we’re all involved in could be seen as an investment. If she invests money fundraising, it will pay off dividends in the future by reducing water and soil scarcity and changing climate patterns.
The Protect Earth community has shown their support while doing massive personal challenges - a half marathon here, a giant swim there.
One community member fundraised for us by cycling 2,500 miles from Poland to Ireland. Whew, we need a nap!

Probably the biggest and most widely recognised fundraising platform in the UK is Just Giving. When considering turning your milestone event into a fundraising opportunity, Just Giving is a great platform that’s easy to set up and link to us.

On top of that, donors will more than likely recognise the Just Giving name and logo, giving them peace of mind when they donate through a safe and secure platform. At this point, has just about everyone in the UK donated through Just Giving?
Protect Earth is registered with the Charities Aid Foundation. Charities Aid Foundation is a smaller platform that ensures the same factors are in place, making fundraising set-up easy and providing donors confidence.
