Tree Planting: 500 trees to be planted in Bethania, West Wales

Help us plant British saplings in West Wales, to provide a habitat for local wildlife and sequester carbon dioxide.

Help us plant in Bethania in West Wales.

Protect Earth is a reforestation charity that helps plant the right trees in the right place. We work with local climate action groups and volunteers so we can all do this on a shoestring budget, and save the planet a little bit every week.

We are going to be creating a brand new shelter belt consisting of hedge species and trees.

Bird Cherry, Downy Birch, Rowan, Goat Willow, Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Hazel, Guelder Rose, Alder Buckthorn, Wild Cherry, Small-leaved Lime, Sessile Oak, Aspen, Alder.

Things we ask that you bring if possible:

  • A spade - a small border spade or a fencing spade / drainage shovel (which have a narrow/pointed blade) are ideal for tree planting. A large spade is ok, too.

  • Gardening gloves - the sturdier the better

  • Sturdy footwear - preferably boots or wellies

  • Plenty of food and water

  • Hand sanitiser

We'll send out more information closer to the time about how and where parking works, but we always appreciate anyone who can uses trains/bikes/etc to ease parking, and of course reduce emissions!
